Job description
Role overview
NARS is a beauty brand known for expressive colour, refined textures and a modern, fashion-led approach to makeup. As part of the Shiseido Group, the brand offers artistry-focused training, employee product discounts and the opportunity to grow within a fast-expanding portfolio of brands.
This part-time Retail Artist position is based at Harrods in London and is scheduled for 22.5 hours across 3 days each week. The role is centred on delivering a memorable counter experience that reflects NARS' creative and individual style.
What you'll do
You will represent the brand on counter and help customers discover products and techniques that suit their own style. The role combines makeup artistry, customer engagement and sales focus, with an expectation that you create a personalised experience for every visitor.
Using one-to-one appointments and in-store events, you will demonstrate products, share application advice and build confidence in customers so they can use NARS techniques independently. You will also help strengthen long-term customer relationships through strong brand storytelling and service.
The position includes working towards performance goals, using the training and tools provided to deliver excellent artistry and service while contributing to the success of the counter.
Candidate profile
The ideal background includes makeup artistry or previous retail makeup experience. Strong communication, customer service and teamwork skills are important, along with the ability to work on your own initiative.
You should be self-driven, results-oriented and comfortable working in a role that values creativity, individuality and the Shiseido Group's Trust8 principles: Think Big, Take Risks, Hands on, Collaborate, Be Open, Act with Integrity, Be Accountable and Applaud Success.
Benefits
You will receive a range of benefits, including 30 days of holiday with bank holidays included and increasing entitlement with service, a discretionary commission plan, a pension contribution from the employer at 5%, a generous product allocation and discount, enhanced parental allowance, life assurance of up to 2 times salary, referral bonuses, access to Retail Trust, and annual performance and development reviews.
Inclusion and hiring process
The company promotes an inclusive workplace and encourages applications from people of all backgrounds. Flexible working and part-time arrangements are welcomed, and support or adjustments can be requested if needed.
The recruitment process starts with CV screening. Shortlisted candidates will be contacted by the hiring manager to discuss motivation, fit and expectations. Successful applicants will attend at least one interview, ideally in person, followed by an in-store trade test if selected.
All candidates must have the right to live and work in the UK.
