Overview
Our client, a property management company handling residential rental units, is seeking a dependable and detail-focused Cleaner. This role involves performing cleaning services for rental properties including move-in and move-out cleans, rental turnovers, and ensuring properties are prepared and presentable.
Key Duties
- Attend scheduled cleaning visits at residential rental properties.
- Deliver thorough cleaning according to company and residential standards.
- Clean all typical living spaces such as kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living rooms, corridors, and appliances.
- Eliminate dust, dirt, debris, and garbage effectively.
- Wipe down surfaces including counters, sinks, mirrors, doors, baseboards, and high-contact areas.
- Vacuum, sweep, mop, and sanitize floors.
- Include interior cleaning of appliances like refrigerators, stoves, ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, washers, and dryers as needed.
- Identify any areas that require extra cleaning, junk removal, repairs, maintenance, or additional attention.
- Capture clear before-and-after photographs and videos of cleaning areas to document completed work.
- Provide detailed updates, notes, and media documentation after each cleaning appointment.
- Maintain professional communication with property owners, current tenants, prospective tenants, and internal teams.
- Adhere strictly to company cleaning procedures, checklists, access instructions, and appointment protocols.
Typical Cleaning Activities
- Move-in and move-out cleaning services.
- Rental turnover and deep cleaning tasks.
- Detail cleaning of kitchens, bathrooms, appliances, floors, and surfaces.
- Cleaning cabinet interiors, window sills, and baseboards.
- Garbage collection and light debris removal.
- Property readiness cleaning prior to photography, showings, inspections, or tenant move-ins.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Previous experience in residential cleaning, housekeeping, or similar roles.
- Thorough understanding of standards for residential cleaning.
- Possession of reliable personal transportation for travel between properties.
- Availability of necessary cleaning tools and supplies for each appointment.
- Comfort working independently at various rental property locations.
- Possession of a smartphone comparable to iPhone 13 with a quality camera capability.
- Able to capture and submit clear photographic and video documentation of cleaning work.
- Capability to create clear written reports and updates after each task.
- Strong organizational skills, punctuality, professionalism, and attention to detail.
- Skilled at following detailed cleaning checklists and instructions.
- Communicates respectfully and clearly with property owners, tenants, and team members.
Preferred Experience
- Background in move-in/move-out or turnover cleaning specifically for rental properties.
- Experience spotting property damage, maintenance needs, junk removal requirements, pest issues, access problems, or safety concerns.
- Comfortable functioning independently as part of a home, leasing, or property management services company.
