The company distributes rental listings across MLS and over 20 other platforms, managing all leasing steps from listing to tenant move-in.

Job Overview

We are seeking a dependable and meticulous Cleaner to service residential rental properties. This role involves conducting move-in and move-out cleans, rental turnover sanitation, and preparing properties for listing to ensure they meet company cleanliness standards.

Key Responsibilities

  • Attend scheduled cleaning appointments at residential rental properties for various cleaning tasks including move-in, move-out, turnover, and listing preparation.
  • Perform comprehensive cleaning according to company guidelines covering kitchens, bathrooms, bedrooms, living areas, hallways, appliances, floors, and fixtures.
  • Eliminate dust, debris, garbage, and residual items effectively.
  • Sanitize high-touch surfaces including counters, sinks, mirrors, doors, baseboards, and more.
  • Utilize methods such as vacuuming, sweeping, and mopping for floor maintenance.
  • Clean inside of appliances like refrigerators, stoves, ovens, microwaves, dishwashers, washers, and dryers as needed.
  • Identify and report areas requiring additional cleaning, repairs, maintenance, or junk removal.
  • Capture clear before-and-after photographs and videos documenting cleaning progress and property conditions.
  • Provide detailed updates, notes, and communication after each cleaning visit with professionalism toward landlords, applicants, tenants, and internal teams.
  • Adhere strictly to cleaning checklists, access directions, and appointment details provided by the company.

General Cleaning Duties

  • Deep cleaning tasks including kitchen and bathroom sanitation.
  • Appliance cleaning and floor care.
  • Dusting, surface wiping, cabinet and drawer cleaning.
  • Window sill and baseboard maintenance.
  • Removal of garbage and light debris.
  • Preparing properties for photos, showings, inspections, and tenant move-in.

Candidate Requirements

  • Prior experience in residential cleaning roles such as cleaner, housekeeper, cleaning contractor, or similar.
  • Strong familiarity with residential cleaning standards and expectations.
  • Access to reliable transportation to travel between properties independently.
  • Possession of necessary cleaning tools and supplies for each appointment.
  • Ownership of a smartphone equivalent to or better than an iPhone 13 with a high-quality camera.
  • Competence in taking clear photographs and videos for documentation.
  • Ability to write clear notes and submit detailed updates after each cleaning session.
  • Capability to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining professionalism, punctuality, and attention to detail.
  • Proficient in following instructions, checklists, and access protocols.
  • Effective communication skills to interact respectfully with landlords, applicants, tenants (where appropriate), and team members.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience specifically with move-in, move-out, or rental turnover cleaning.
  • Background in preparing residential rental units before listings, showings, and inspections.
  • Ability to recognize damage, maintenance issues, junk removal needs, pest problems, access complications, or unsafe conditions for appropriate follow-up.
  • History of working independently within property management, leasing, cleaning, or home services organizations.

The successful applicant will demonstrate reliability, an eye for detail, and the capability to work autonomously at various residential rental locations. They will value professionalism and understand the importance of preparing rental properties to a high standard for marketing and tenant satisfaction. The individual must follow instructions thoroughly, complete documentation accurately with photos and reports, and communicate effectively and respectfully with all stakeholders.

  • Ability to travel between multiple rental sites and submit comprehensive updates remotely.

Additional Notes

This position centers strictly on cleaning and readiness tasks. Cleaners are tasked with identifying and reporting any damages, maintenance requirements, junk accumulation, pest concerns, access issues, or hazardous situations observed during property visits so the appropriate teams can act accordingly.
