Role Overview
This position is a customer-facing, front-line role focused on delivering high-quality travel support and converting enquiries into confirmed sales. The Reservation Sales Agent will handle airline ticket sales, travel-related products, destination guidance, and services for groups and events while maintaining a professional and customer-centric approach.
Key Responsibilities
The role involves assisting retail, government, and corporate customers through timely and courteous service, recommending suitable travel products and loyalty offerings, and identifying opportunities to increase sales through upselling and cross-selling. The agent will create travel reservations, issue tickets, suggest alternative routes, classes, or carriers when requested options are unavailable, and ensure all bookings comply with airline, hotel, and product rules. The job also includes advising customers on travel requirements such as passports, visas, health, insurance, and check-in details, maintaining strong client relationships, following dnata service standards and audit requirements, keeping up to date with system and fare changes, and ensuring revenue documents are reported correctly for invoicing and account processing.
Requirements
Candidates should hold a degree or honours qualification (12+3 or equivalent), with a preference for a university degree in Travel and Tourism or a related field. Strong geography and arithmetic knowledge is needed, along with excellent telephone etiquette, interpersonal ability, and customer service skills. Familiarity with airline reservation systems is required, and strong spoken and written English is mandatory.
