Research Lead - Global Partnerships

We are an established global cryptocurrency exchange operating across many major markets. Our partnerships division operates near the commercial core of the organization and is remote-first, valuing ownership, speed, and clear communication above physical presence.

Role Overview

The Global Partnerships team focuses on three main areas: asset listings, traditional finance (TradFi), and Web3 products such as decentralized exchanges (DEX), wallets, and blockchain infrastructure. Our current opportunity pipeline is expanding faster than our research capabilities, so this role is created to provide dedicated analytical support for each partnership opportunity by mapping the landscape, rigorously evaluating proposals, and converting complex market data into actionable recommendations. Note that this position covers broad Web3 research rather than narrowly focused listings research.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor market developments and identify promising partnership opportunities across asset listings, TradFi, and Web3 sectors.
• Track competitor partnership activities and develop insights on whether to match, differentiate, or intensify our approach.
• Conduct thorough due diligence on potential partners covering their business model, leadership, investors, and any reputational risk factors.
• Analyze comparable deals including their commercial structure, pricing, fee arrangements, revenue sharing, and incentive frameworks.
• Draft concise yet impactful materials such as opportunity briefs, diligence summaries, competitor intelligence, and deal comparisons for use by the partnerships team and company leadership.
• Support strategic planning, negotiation preparation, and prioritization of the partnership pipeline.
• Establish and maintain internal databases containing partner profiles, competitor activities, commercial terms, and lessons learned from prior engagements.

Candidate Profile

• Approximately five or more years of experience in analytical and commercial roles such as research, strategy, consulting, banking, corporate development, venture capital, fintech, financial services, or digital assets.
• Proficient English communication skills at a native level, capable of producing written recommendations that stand on their own merit.
• Demonstrated ability to exercise strong judgment and distill complex information into concise, usable formats rather than merely compiling data.
• Experience analyzing companies, markets, competitors, or transactions.
• Able to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously and deliver timely outputs.
• Desirable but not mandatory: familiarity with cryptocurrency exchanges, asset listings, brokerage services, pre-IPO transactions, stablecoins, tokenization, decentralized finance (DeFi), wallets, or blockchain infrastructure.
• Desirable but not mandatory: prior experience with partnership economics or deal structure analysis.
