Job description
About Mastercard
Mastercard operates in more than 200 countries and territories, helping people, businesses, and governments take part in a more secure, convenient, and inclusive digital economy. Through its technology, partnerships, and network, the company supports a broad range of payment solutions designed to help customers reach their full potential.
Role Overview
The Advisors Research Center (ARC) is Mastercard’s global research group focused on delivering end-to-end research support for clients. As a Research Consultant, you will contribute across the full research lifecycle and turn findings into meaningful client insights.
This opportunity suits someone with a strong grounding in both qualitative and quantitative research, along with the curiosity and drive to keep building expertise across different industries and project types.
What You Will Do
You will support research projects from start to finish, helping design studies, collect and analyze data, and shape the results into clear deliverables. The work involves close coordination with internal teams, stakeholders, and clients in a fast-moving, collaborative environment.
Key Qualifications
Applicants should have experience working in a research agency or an in-house research function, with exposure to full-cycle custom research such as screeners, discussion guides, survey questionnaires, scripting, analysis, and report development. Familiarity with tools like Qualtrics and DisplayR is expected, along with proficiency in at least one statistical package such as SPSS, Q, SAS, R, or Matlab.
Experience across research approaches such as U&A, conjoint or discrete choice, concept testing, MaxDiff, driver analysis, and segmentation analysis is valuable. The role also calls for the ability to translate data into strategic recommendations and handle several projects at once. Strong Word, Excel, and PowerPoint skills are required, and project management software knowledge is an added advantage.
Candidates must be comfortable asking questions, contributing in meetings and workshops, and working effectively with global colleagues. A genuine interest in quantitative research is preferred, along with strong organization, planning, prioritization, time management, and attention to detail.
Eligibility and Work Authorization
This position is only open to candidates who are already eligible to work in Canada now and in the future. Mastercard will not provide work authorization sponsorship for this role.
Compensation and Additional Information
The Toronto salary range for this position is CAD 97,000 to CAD 131,000. Mastercard may also offer eligibility for a discretionary annual incentive program, depending on the final offer and role conditions. This posting is intended to build a pipeline of talent for future openings within the team.
Equal Opportunity and Accommodations
Mastercard is an inclusive, merit-based employer and considers applicants without regard to protected characteristics such as gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, race, ethnicity, disability, or veteran status. If you need accommodations during the application or hiring process in the US or Canada, you may request assistance through the company’s accommodations contact process without including any medical details.
Security Responsibilities
Anyone working for or on behalf of Mastercard must follow the company’s information security requirements. This includes protecting the confidentiality and integrity of company information, reporting suspected security issues or breaches, and completing all required security training on schedule.
