The Bitkom Servicegesellschaft mbH is part of Bitkom e.V., one of the leading associations for the digital industry in Germany and Europe. As a modern service provider, the company supports organizations in the digital sector with a wide range of services, including the design and delivery of market research projects as well as the analysis of digital transformation processes, with a particular focus on the public sector.
Role Overview
Bitkom Research is looking for a Research Consultant to support study projects at the center of the tech scene. The role is ideal for someone with strong numerical thinking and a keen interest in current digital and policy-related topics, such as the modernization of federal, state, and local government structures.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate, organize, and interpret data for studies, indices, and reports.
- Plan and manage data collection activities and calculate key figures and rankings, especially in projects around digital transformation in the public sector.
- Lead quantitative market research projects, with a focus on representative consumer and business surveys, and oversee the process from project kickoff through to publication of results.
- Develop study concepts, prepare proposals, and provide expert consulting and support to clients.
- Design questionnaires, handle programming and pre-tests, and coordinate external fieldwork providers.
- Create presentation materials and present study findings to clients or at events.
- Prepare datasets for the internal database and turn results into visual formats for the Bitkom Dataverse.
- Work closely with colleagues from relevant departments, the press team, and management on projects for Bitkom e.V.
Candidate Profile
- You have completed a university degree with outstanding results.
- You bring at least one year of professional experience in data analysis, market research, or academic research, ideally connected to the digital economy or digitalization in the public sector.
- You have strong analytical skills and solid knowledge of quantitative research methods.
- You are confident using SPSS or similar analytical tools, Excel, and PowerPoint, and ideally have experience with online survey tools.
- Initial experience with data visualization tools such as Microsoft Power BI is an advantage.
- You communicate fluently in German and English.
- You enjoy working collaboratively in a team.
- You work carefully, in a structured way, independently, and with reliability.
