Role overview

As a Research Consultant for the DACH region, you will guide and support clients through the full market research workflow. This includes helping them choose the right approach, developing questionnaires, setting up studies, interpreting findings, and presenting results across a range of projects.

You will act as a trusted advisor, helping clients strengthen customer centricity through agile research methods and innovative thinking. A major part of the role is turning research outputs into compelling, easy-to-understand storytelling, while creating both concise and detailed reports in coordination with other teams so that client needs are met effectively.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with clients throughout the design, refinement, and analysis of research projects.
• Build study designs, including methodology, audience definition, and sample sizing.
• Draft tailored questionnaires for multiple research formats such as usage and attitude studies, tracking, concept testing, creative testing, MaxDiff, and conjoint.
• Configure questionnaires and fieldwork within the Appinio platform.
• Analyze findings, turn them into practical recommendations, and prepare detailed reports when required, including charts, layouts, and insights.
• Deliver presentations that make findings memorable, actionable, and easy for stakeholders to follow.
• Work closely with Sales on scoping work for new customers.
• Handle projects and contribute to the longer-term development of the Research Consulting team and Appinio products.
• Bring AI into all stages of research and partner with the Product team to strengthen AI-related capabilities.

Requirements

• At least 3 years of experience in market research and B2B consulting, with a solid grasp of quantitative methods and statistics.
• Proven experience in study design, questionnaire writing, and working across different research methods and use cases.
• Experience creating PowerPoint or Google Slides reports from market research data and translating results into clear, business-relevant insights for audiences at various levels.
• A strategic, commercially aware mindset with the ability to turn research into business value for clients.
• Fluency in English and German at C2 level, both spoken and written.
• Comfort working hands-on with research tools and platforms, including survey setup and process improvements.
• Proactive, curious, and willing to put in extra effort to achieve high-quality results efficiently.
• Strong communication skills, a practical mindset, and a genuine interest in data.
• A cooperative and supportive working style.

Additional role details

This is a fully remote position and is ideally open to candidates based in Germany, the UK, Portugal, the Netherlands, and Spain.

You will report directly to one of the Team Leads for Research Consulting DACH.
