Role overview

Appinio is hiring a Research Consultant for the DACH region with a strong interest in reporting, insight development, and compelling storytelling. The role focuses on supporting clients throughout the full market research cycle, from choosing the right methodology and drafting questionnaires to analyzing, visualizing, and presenting findings across different types of projects.

You will partner closely with clients as a trusted advisor, helping them think more customer-centric, work with agile research approaches, and adopt innovative methods. A major part of the job is turning research into clear, engaging, and actionable narratives, while creating both concise and detailed reports in collaboration with internal teams and ensuring they meet client goals.

Key responsibilities

• Work as a trusted advisor for clients during the creation, adjustment, and analysis of market research projects.
• Develop study designs, including methodology choice, audience definition, and sample sizing.
• Draft tailored questionnaires for a range of research formats such as U&A, tracking, concept testing, creative testing, MaxDiff, and Conjoint.
• Configure questionnaires and fieldwork within the Appinio platform.
• Review data, draw practical recommendations, and build detailed reports when required, including charts, layouts, and insights.
• Deliver findings in a narrative format that emphasizes clarity, actionability, and business relevance.
• Coordinate with the Sales team during scoping for new clients.
• Handle project management tasks and support the strategic growth of the Research Consulting team and Appinio products.
• Use AI across the research workflow and work with the Product team to improve AI-driven capabilities.

Candidate profile

• More than 3 years of experience in market research and B2B consulting, with solid knowledge of quantitative techniques and statistics.
• Hands-on experience designing studies, writing questionnaires, and working with multiple research methods and use cases.
• Experience producing presentations in PowerPoint or Google Slides based on market research data, with a proven ability to translate findings into practical insights for different audiences and seniority levels.
• A strategic, commercially aware mindset with the ability to connect research outcomes to business value.
• Fluency in English and German at C2 level, both spoken and written.
• Comfort working directly with tools and platforms, including survey programming and workflow improvement.
• A proactive, curious approach and the willingness to go beyond expectations while balancing quality and efficiency.
• Strong communication skills, a practical mindset, and a genuine interest in working with data.
• A cooperative and considerate working style.

Additional details

This is a fully remote position, ideally suited to candidates based in Germany, the UK, Portugal, the Netherlands, or Spain. The role reports to one of the Team Leads for Research Consulting DACH.
