Job Overview
The Department of Biology at the College of Science, UAE University, invites applications for a Research Associate position. This opportunity is designed for driven candidates aiming to investigate the role of immune cells in skin reactions using comprehensive genome-wide analyses. The selected associate will focus on identifying genetic contributions and molecular mechanisms of various immune cells implicated in skin response.
Responsibilities
The incumbent will perform genomic analyses to characterize immune cell involvement in dermatological reactions, employing advanced bioinformatics techniques. Additional duties may include conducting experiments with cell culture, molecular biology methods, and fluorescence-activated cell sorting (FACS). The role also involves working with animal models as part of the research process.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Possess a Master's degree, preferably in Bioinformatics or Immunology.
- Demonstrate a solid foundation in bioinformatics and genomic data analysis.
- Basic practical knowledge of FACS, cell culture, and molecular biology is advantageous.
- Capable of working independently as well as collaboratively within a research team.
- Excellent English communication skills are essential.
- Preparedness to engage with animal models in research.
