Role Overview
The Research Analyst supports sales and marketing teams by delivering quantitative and qualitative research insights across multiple audio platforms such as radio, streaming, digital, and podcasting. This role offers the opportunity to engage in various marketing and media research projects including syndicated studies, primary data collection, and ad effectiveness assessments across multiple industry categories. Key Responsibilities
- Use both primary and syndicated research tools to generate quantitative and qualitative information relevant to current and potential advertisers.
- Develop engaging and data-focused presentations tailored to the needs of sales teams, advertising agencies, and clients.
- Respond to diverse sales research inquiries involving audience analytics, consumer behavior insights, competitor advertising expenditures, targeting strategies, and market trends.
- Assist in planning and executing customized advertising effectiveness studies covering a broad range of sectors such as automotive, travel, and entertainment.
- Manage brand lift studies including designing methodologies, crafting surveys, analyzing data, and delivering reports.
- Apply attribution measurement methods to assess and enhance campaign outcomes.
- Collaborate with marketing and sales personnel to optimize the use of research-driven insights.
Qualifications and Skills
- Familiarity with media research platforms including Nielsen Audio, Scarborough, MRI-Simmons, ACT 1, Media Monitors, Media Radar, and comScore is preferred.
- Experience with custom research methodologies encompassing study design, questionnaire development, sampling, and data analytics.
- Knowledge of vendors such as DISQO, Dynata, and Nielsen is advantageous.
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint is essential.
- Competency with statistical and analytical tools beyond Excel is a plus.
- Excellent analytical and creative problem-solving capabilities.
- Strong interpersonal communication skills with the ability to clearly convey complex information.
- Adaptability to manage multiple tasks and work in dynamic, fast-paced environments.
- Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy.
- Ability to work independently while understanding when to seek guidance.
- Passion for research with a desire to develop a career in this field.
- Bachelor's degree or higher is required.
Additional Information
The position is based primarily in New York City but other office locations including Chicago and Los Angeles may be considered. The role requires hybrid work, with 2 to 3 days per week onsite.
Compensation and Benefits
The salary range is hourly from $21.15 to $26.44 and will be determined based on experience and qualifications.
