About Nestlé and the Role
Nestlé Zimbabwe, a globally recognized food and beverage leader with over 150 years of heritage, seeks a Replenishment Specialist for its Harare office. This position focuses on ensuring product availability and operational excellence through collaborative planning and inventory management across customer distribution centers and stores.
Primary Responsibilities
- Utilize advanced forecasting and planning systems, including VMI/CMI tools, to generate optimal replenishment orders.
- Balance diverse factors such as service levels, inventory objectives, capacity limitations, and customer delivery timelines.
- Track stock alerts, demand shifts, lead times, delivery schedules, network logistics, and new product launches.
- Identify out-of-stock risks proactively by analyzing demand trends, stock status, and forecast deviations, and lead mitigation efforts including prioritization and escalation strategies.
- Serve as the key operational liaison for VMI/CMI customers to resolve stock-related challenges and provide transparency on supply risks and recovery plans.
- Collaborate with customer service associates (CSA) to manage order exceptions like load optimization, delivery delays, and appointment constraints, ensuring root causes are addressed to prevent recurrence.
- Support billing processes including proforma invoicing, billing adjustments, and claims management, aiming to minimize financial impact while preserving customer relations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives in replenishment, forecasting, order processing, and exception handling, promoting automation and data-driven solutions.
- Engage in regional or market projects focused on supply chain optimization and technological enhancements.
Qualifications and Experience
- Diploma or higher education in Supply Chain Management or related discipline is required.
- 2 to 4 years of operational experience in order fulfillment or a related market/trade environment.
- Experience collaborating directly with customers and working across supply chain functions such as logistics or sales support is advantageous.
- Familiarity with business process improvement projects.
- Strong grasp of Order-to-Cash processes, customer service, sales order accuracy, and timeliness.
- Knowledge of logistics including materials handling, transport optimization, and route planning.
- Proficient in data analysis, particularly with Excel, converting complex data into actionable insights.
- Experience with SAP, EDI processes, and Microsoft Office applications for operational support and reporting.
- Effective communication skills to engage stakeholders at various levels.
- Strong orientation towards service delivery, the ability to influence constructively, and capability to work under pressure.
