Role Overview

Zscaler is hiring a Renewals Specialist to support renewal performance and commercial outcomes. The position is hybrid and reports to the Senior Director, Renewals. The main objective is to protect and expand ARR, speed up renewal cycles, and strengthen renewal results. The role is focused on a region and supports one or more AVPs along with their leadership chain.

Key Responsibilities

  • Work closely with Account Executives and Sales Leadership to make sure renewals in the assigned region are handled within the required timeline.
  • Track account wellness and customer risk indicators to identify possible churn and areas for expansion.
  • Coordinate account-specific mitigation plans for at-risk and high-value customers by partnering with cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Run structured renewal forecasting calls with account teams for the current and upcoming quarters.
  • Offer strategic renewal advice and consultative support to improve retention, reduce churn, and strengthen renewal results.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Prior experience in Sales, Deal Desk, Renewals, or Renewal Operations.
  • Strong commercial judgement and financial analysis capability, including familiarity with SaaS and renewal-related revenue recognition concepts.
  • Hands-on experience with CRM and CPQ systems.
  • Creative and forward-thinking approach to identifying retention and growth strategies beyond standard renewal processes.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and cross-functional project coordination skills.

Preferred Background

  • Experience handling renewals in cybersecurity or another technically complex industry.
  • Advanced use of Gainsight or similar customer success platforms to support data-led retention planning.
  • Experience managing large, complex global renewals in the multi-million-dollar range, with strong negotiation ability.
