About the opportunity

Sirva, through Allied Moving Services, is hiring for multiple roles across Australia and New Zealand during its busiest season, which begins in the coming weeks. The company is looking for upbeat and driven people to join its moving teams in Mackay, Queensland, and other locations across AU and NZ.

Open positions include owner drivers and contractors, removalists/offsiders, household goods packers and unpackers, and drivers holding valid class licences.

What the role offers

This is an immediate-start opportunity with full training provided to successful candidates. The job comes with competitive hourly pay and may include overtime for those who want additional earnings. It also offers practical skills you can carry into future work.

The work is varied, with no two jobs being exactly the same. You may travel across different parts of your city while staying active and physically fit on the job.

Key duties

• Carefully pack and wrap goods into cartons for safe transport or storage
• Unpack cartons and remove wrapping from items
• Load and unload household belongings
• Handle items weighing up to 20 kg on your own
• Communicate clearly with customers and teammates
• Deliver strong customer service
• Work cooperatively as part of a team
• Adapt to changing start and finish times

Licence and equipment preferences

Holding a licence is considered an advantage, particularly MR, HR, HC, or Forklift licences. In New Zealand, equivalent Class 2 to Class 5 licences are highly desirable.
