Role Overview
We are seeking a freelance video editor with a passion for music content and storytelling to join a creative team remotely. This part-time position focuses on crafting energetic, cinematic edits for music vlogs and social media videos. Projects will include tour diaries, behind-the-scenes shots, live performance clips, lip-sync videos, and brief content pieces optimized for Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and YouTube Shorts. There is an opportunity for this role to evolve into a full-time position as project scope grows.
Key Responsibilities
- Edit and compile tour and behind-the-scenes footage as well as live performances.
- Produce captivating short videos tailored for various social media platforms.
- Design eye-catching thumbnails and incorporate motion graphics, text overlays, and smooth transitions.
- Enhance video quality with color grading and sound design techniques.
- Keep up-to-date with social media trends to adjust content approach effectively.
- Work collaboratively with the creative team to ensure consistent visual storytelling.
Required Qualifications
- Proven track record of editing story-driven, cinematic YouTube or social media videos.
- Skilled in Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, and other relevant editing tools.
- Strong aptitude for pacing, storytelling, and visual composition.
- Experience with music editing, sound design, and motion graphics creation.
- Ability to craft engaging thumbnails and apply sophisticated color corrections.
- Knowledge of latest social media content trends and platform specs.
- Effective communication skills and disciplined self-management in a remote work setting.
- Availability to commit to part-time freelance work, with potential for full-time engagement.
