Project Overview

This opportunity is for an experienced 2D animator to craft a polished anime-style proof of concept for a manga project. The end goal is a cinematic teaser that reflects current anime aesthetics, with strong visual storytelling, fluid motion, and refined effects work.

The ideal professional will be able to contribute a distinct artistic approach while producing a teaser that convincingly represents the manga’s tone and creative direction.

Deliverables

Produce a premium 2D animated teaser inspired by contemporary anime styling
Animate dramatic character actions and fluid, cinematic camera movement
Apply advanced compositing and clean visual effects to enhance the final piece
Work in coordination with the project vision so the animation matches the manga’s mood and intent
Deliver a finished teaser that can be used as a proof of concept

Requirements

Demonstrated background in 2D animation, especially anime-influenced work
Strong command of character animation, compositing, and visual storytelling for filmic scenes
Comfort using standard animation tools such as Toon Boom, After Effects, TVPaint, or comparable software
Capability to design expressive performances and energetic camera movement
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to professional-quality output
Clear communication skills and the ability to understand and execute creative direction
Must be able to work remotely and complete the work within the agreed schedule
A portfolio containing relevant anime-style animation examples
