About the Role and Company
We are looking for a dedicated Relief Pharmacy Technician to join our team based in the Limerick area. This is a full-time, permanent role within McCabes Pharmacy, a trusted name in the Irish pharmaceutical sector for over 40 years, known for providing compassionate care, reliable advice, prompt service, and great value. As part of PHX Ireland and the PHOENIX Group – a leading healthcare provider in Europe – you will become part of a large network supporting 500,000 patients annually through extensive distribution and pharmacy services.
Key Responsibilities
- Accurately prepare and dispense prescription medications with thorough attention to detail ensuring patient safety.
- Maintain compliance by managing prescription records and handling monthly claims with the Health Service Executive’s Primary Care Reimbursement Service (HSE PCRS).
- Assist patients by providing knowledgeable over-the-counter medication advice.
- Build and sustain strong customer relationships through friendly and expert service delivery.
- Take responsibility for managing dispensary inventory including monitoring expiry dates and placing orders to ensure stock availability.
- Engage in continuous personal development and contribute to team projects and innovation initiatives.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Completion of the IPU Pharmacy Technician course or possession of a Higher Certificate in Pharmacy Technician Studies.
