About the Role
The Relationship Manager for Farmer Finance is a dedicated position within the Retail Liabilities division, specializing in providing customized financial solutions to agricultural clients. This role is pivotal in acquiring new customers, strengthening existing relationships, and ensuring superior service execution. Collaboration with product and operations teams is essential to boost customer acquisition, servicing, and portfolio expansion. The role directly supports the branch banking channel's goals by managing New-to-Bank clients and enhancing profitability.
Key Responsibilities
- Expand liabilities by increasing account balances of current KCC customers and capturing a greater share of their business.
- Analyze account inflows and outflows proactively to spot new business potentials.
- Maintain frequent contact with customers via mailers and calls, providing updates on interest rates, exchange rates, and available products.
- Develop new sales leads for KCC through referrals, brokers, and multiple channels.
- Acquire new KCC clients using in-depth knowledge of credit evaluations and financial documentation.
- Utilize expertise in liabilities, foreign exchange, trade finance, delinquency management, and relationship management to grow business volume.
- Oversee the KCC portfolio through regular monitoring, renewals, customer retention, and maintaining portfolio health with minimal deferrals and covenant violations.
- Partner with branch banking teams to maximize synergies and integrate efforts across the bank.
- Assess growth plans informed by competitor analysis and customer feedback.
- Propose process improvements to elevate efficiency and service quality throughout branches.
- Show aptitude in sales planning, promotions, and marketing activities.
- Comprehend financial statements, credit assessment techniques, and title/security documentation requirements.
Additional Responsibilities
- Attract, develop, and retain high-caliber talent within the reporting lines.
- Track employee productivity, hiring quality, and attrition, implementing corrective strategies as needed.
- Support teams through strategic guidance and operational support to meet growth objectives.
Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in any discipline.
- At least three years of relevant experience in rural banking, KCC or credit products, or relationship management.
- Profound understanding of Kisan Credit Card (KCC) products and rural client requirements.
- Strong capabilities in credit evaluation and financial documentation handling.
- Excellent communication skills, along with relationship-building and problem-solving abilities.
- Strategic thinker with a proven ability to foster business growth.
- High integrity and compliance awareness.
- Leadership qualities with effective team and performance management skills.
- Knowledgeable about banking operations, portfolio maintenance, and customer service standards.
