About the Role
The Relationship Manager for Kisan Credit Card (KCC) is part of the Rural Banking team and is responsible for creating tailored financial solutions for KCC customers. This position focuses on bringing in new customers, strengthening relationships with existing clients, and maintaining high-quality service. The role works in close coordination with product and operations teams to support customer acquisition, servicing, and growth of the portfolio. It also supports branch banking goals by handling New-to-Bank customers and improving customer profitability.
Primary Responsibilities
- Expand liability relationships by increasing balances in current KCC customer accounts and improving wallet share.
- Track account credits and debits to spot business opportunities early.
- Stay in regular touch with customers through calls and mailers, and keep them informed about interest rates, exchange rates, and relevant product updates.
- Create new sales opportunities for KCC through referrals, brokers, and other lead sources.
- Bring in new KCC customers with a solid grasp of credit evaluation and financial paperwork.
- Use knowledge of liabilities, foreign exchange, trade finance, delinquency handling, and relationship management to drive portfolio growth.
- Oversee the KCC book through continuous review, renewals, retention efforts, and strong portfolio discipline with low deferrals and few covenant breaches.
- Work alongside branch banking teams to create stronger cross-functional results within the bank.
- Assess growth opportunities using competitor insights and customer feedback.
- Suggest process changes that can improve service speed and quality across the branch network.
- Contribute to sales planning, promotional activity, and marketing efforts.
- Understand financial statements, credit appraisal methods, and title or security documentation.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Help attract and retain strong talent for important roles in the reporting line.
- Track employee productivity, hiring effectiveness, and attrition trends, then support corrective action where needed.
- Support teams with the guidance and execution needed to meet growth targets.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in any field is required.
Experience
Candidates should have at least 3 years of relevant experience in rural banking, KCC or credit products, or relationship management.
