Role overview
The Relationship Manager for Corporate Banking is responsible for developing and nurturing long-term connections with corporate clients. The role focuses on offering suitable banking products and services, identifying opportunities to expand business, and helping the bank meet its sales goals while protecting credit quality.
Key responsibilities
- Work in line with the department’s policies, procedures, operating standards, and instructions so tasks are completed consistently and under control.
- Handle day-to-day responsibilities to keep work moving smoothly without interruption.
- Establish and strengthen client relationships through visits to both prospective and existing corporate customers.
- Build a strong understanding of each client’s business, sector, and international practices to stay close to their needs and expectations.
- Spot opportunities to generate revenue by promoting corporate banking solutions and supporting sales objectives.
- Increase product usage and cross-sell relevant solutions, while also pursuing structured finance opportunities where appropriate.
- Create and maintain account plans in a timely and organized way so action points can be followed up quickly.
- Share market and demand insights for loan opportunities that are commercially sound and aligned with market needs.
- Review credit applications and approve them within delegated authority levels, ensuring they are complete and of high quality before forwarding them for credit review.
- Partner regularly with the Credit Analytics Unit and Risk Management team to protect and improve portfolio quality.
- Contribute ideas for process improvement, cost efficiency, productivity gains, and adoption of international best practices.
- Prepare accurate and timely reports required by Riyad Bank and the relevant department, in line with internal standards and policies.
- Follow all safety, quality, and environmental controls to support a healthy and safe workplace.
- Carry out any other related tasks or assignments as instructed.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in Business, preferably with a focus on Finance or Accounting.
- At least 4 to 6 years of relevant experience in the banking sector.
- Strong command of English at an advanced level.
- Solid understanding of corporate banking products and services.
- Experience with client relationship planning.
- Ability to support business development and planning activities.
