About the Role
We are seeking a commercially insightful and analytically capable Relationship Associate to join our Institutional & Business Banking team in Britomart, Auckland. This permanent full-time position involves supporting Relationship Managers by delivering in-depth credit analyses, financial insights, and proficient portfolio management.
The successful candidate will develop comprehensive knowledge of customers, industries, and market trends to maintain strong client relations and formulate effective credit solutions. This role is crucial in upholding our bank’s reputation through meticulous assessment, well-informed judgment, and timely credit proposal submissions.
Key responsibilities include preparing accurate and succinct credit submissions, performing dynamic risk management on lending portfolios, monitoring triggers and covenants continuously, and executing periodic risk reviews within established policies and standards.
Candidate Profile
- Possess a tertiary qualification in accounting, finance, or a related discipline.
- Understand New Zealand’s banking products and financial markets.
- Familiarity with New Zealand's commercial environment and economic context.
- Demonstrate strong skills in financial analysis and credit evaluation.
- Knowledge of regulatory compliance and credit risk considerations.
- Exhibit excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities.
- Effective interpersonal and written communication proficiency.
- High level of attention to detail and accountability in delivering outcomes.
- Experience or understanding of legal and lending documentation is beneficial.
