This remote position is for a United States-based Registration Specialist supporting a healthcare operation through an external hiring partner. You will work in a fast-moving, around-the-clock healthcare environment where schedule flexibility may be needed across different shifts. Key responsibilities
- Capture and confirm patient demographic details and insurance information in practice management platforms.
- Keep patient records and billing documentation current, complete, and accurate.
- Handle inquiries from patients, clinics, and insurance providers through phone and written channels.
- Investigate billing issues and work toward resolution while delivering strong customer service.
- Support data accuracy and follow established quality control, privacy, and compliance processes.
- Work with internal teams, contribute to training efforts, and assist in cross-functional support work.
- Follow healthcare regulations, confidentiality standards, and internal operating procedures.
- Take on other administrative and revenue cycle support duties as business needs require.
Requirements
The employer is seeking candidates with a high school diploma or equivalent, though an associate or bachelor’s degree is preferred. At least 1 year of experience in medical registration and insurance billing is required. Experience with Washington State payers and healthcare insurance rules is preferred.
