About Coldstream Lifecare & Village

Coldstream Lifecare & Village, situated in Ashburton, Canterbury, is a 58-bed facility encompassing a Rest Home and Hospital, complemented by an 11-unit Village. Our team comprises individuals from diverse global backgrounds, creating an open and welcoming environment for people of all cultures. About This Role

We are seeking a Registered Nurse with a genuine passion for elder care to join our team at Coldstream Lifecare & Village. This permanent, full-time position involves 32 or more hours per week, with shifts covering mornings, afternoons, nights, and weekends. You will play a crucial role in ensuring residents receive exceptional care with kindness and patience in a warm, supportive atmosphere. This role offers the chance to make a meaningful difference in the lives of our residents.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and mentor a team of dedicated Caregivers to deliver high-quality care.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor individualized resident care plans.
  • Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments.
  • Build strong, lasting relationships with residents, their families, and General Practitioners.
  • Provide support to the Clinical Services and Care Home Managers.

Skills and Experience Required

  • Previous experience as a Registered Nurse, either within New Zealand or internationally.
  • Possession of a current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC).
  • Proficiency in communication, interpersonal interactions, and problem-solving.
  • A sincere desire to help others, coupled with a friendly and positive demeanor.
  • Strong team player with empathy and a drive to positively impact lives.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and a solid understanding of health and safety protocols.

Additional Information
