Role overview
Heritage Lifecare is hiring a part-time Caregiver for St Joseph's Lifecare in Upper Hutt, Wellington. This role is part of a care home with hospital-level care, where the focus is on delivering kind, respectful, and high-quality support to residents in a warm setting.

Work location and hours
- St Joseph's Lifecare, Upper Hutt City, Wellington, New Zealand
- Part-time position of less than 32 hours per week
- Shifts may include mornings, afternoons, nights, and weekends
What the role involves
The Caregiver will contribute to the wellbeing of residents by offering attentive support and helping create a positive day-to-day environment. The position calls for someone who genuinely enjoys helping others, can build rapport easily, and brings patience and compassion to every interaction.
Experience and qualifications
Applicants should have proven experience supporting others, preferably in an aged care setting. A minimum NZQA Level Certificate in Health and Wellbeing, or a comparable New Zealand or overseas qualification such as a Bachelor of Nursing or Diploma in Nursing, is preferred.
Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving abilities are important, along with a customer-focused approach, a friendly manner, and an understanding of health and safety practices.
