You’ll take charge of day-to-day care coordination, work closely with residents and their families, and contribute to a supportive team culture.

Key duties

  • Oversee residents’ daily care requirements while encouraging and guiding fellow team members.
  • Carry out nursing assessments and interventions, both on your own and in collaboration with others.
  • Use your professional judgement to make important decisions about resident care.
  • Develop strong working relationships with residents, their families, and community allied health professionals.
  • Provide direction, coaching, and support to care staff and other colleagues.

What you’ll need

  • A valid New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate.
  • A strong commitment to delivering high-quality service.
  • Prior experience working with clinical systems.
  • InterRai experience is an advantage, though not essential.
  • Well-developed written and spoken communication skills.
  • Good organisational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to coach and mentor other staff members.
  • Willingness to work rotating shifts on a rostered basis.

Pay and schedule

The role offers an hourly rate between $37.38 and $53.22, depending on experience. The roster is fortnightly and includes weekend work and night shifts.
