Role summary

Pacific Coast Post-Acute is hiring a caring and experienced Registered Dietitian to support the nutritional health of residents in its 149-bed facility. The position focuses on improving residents' wellbeing, helping recovery, and maintaining a strong quality of life through appropriate diet planning and monitoring.

Compensation

The hourly pay range for this role is $45.00 to $60.00, depending on experience.

What you'll do

  • Perform detailed nutrition evaluations for residents.
  • Create and carry out personalized nutrition care plans.
  • Track lab results, meal consumption, and overall nutritional progress.
  • Advise the team on therapeutic meal plans and food and medication interactions.
  • Work with clinical, dietary, and administrative teams to strengthen resident care.
  • Help maintain compliance with federal, state, and local dietary rules.
  • Contribute to resident satisfaction and the overall dining experience.

What the role requires

  • A current Registered Dietitian license is mandatory.
  • Solid understanding of dietary regulations and compliance requirements in skilled nursing settings.
  • Awareness of aging-related nutrition needs in long-term care residents.
  • Ability to communicate clearly, earn trust, and collaborate well with staff and residents.

Preferred background

  • Bachelor's degree in Dietetics or a related discipline from an accredited school.
  • Completion of an ADA-approved training program.
  • 1 to 3 years of experience in acute care or long-term care environments.
  • Experience using PointClickCare (PCC) and/or US Foods systems.
