Job description
About Clarity Pediatrics
Clarity Pediatrics is building a new model for pediatric chronic care, beginning with ADHD. The company’s goal is to make high-quality care easier for families to access through a virtual pediatric ADHD clinic supported by science and technology. Over time, the platform is intended to extend to other common chronic conditions such as asthma, allergies, and obesity.
Role overview
Clarity Pediatrics is looking for an energetic and mission-driven Registered Dietitian to join its multidisciplinary care team on a part-time, hourly W2 basis. In this position, you will help shape the organization’s nutrition and dietary approach, facilitate group and individual sessions, and represent the brand externally as the program grows.
What you will do
You will design and improve nutrition programming for children ages 5–17, create family-facing educational tools, support integrated care planning, and contribute to clinical workflows and protocols. The role also includes leading virtual nutrition groups, delivering one-on-one counseling, documenting care, and coordinating closely with physicians, nurse practitioners, and behavioral health clinicians.
In addition, you will act as an ambassador for Clarity Pediatrics by participating in conferences, community relationships, media or public-facing opportunities, and content that helps raise awareness of the platform.
Programming and curriculum development
- Build and continuously update nutrition and diet content for Clarity’s pediatric program, including a new group format and/or individualized resources.
- Prepare evidence-based handouts, meal-planning tools, and behavior-focused frameworks for children and caregivers.
- Work with the care team so nutrition guidance fits with medical and behavioral treatment plans.
- Help develop care workflows, tools, and nutrition-related clinical protocols.
Group sessions and patient care
- Plan and facilitate virtual nutrition sessions for children, parents, or caregivers.
- Provide individualized diet counseling within an integrated care model.
- Track progress, update recommendations as needed, and record patient interactions accurately and promptly.
- Coordinate with medical and behavioral health providers to support holistic care.
External ambassador responsibilities
- Represent Clarity Pediatrics at conferences, community events, and media-related opportunities.
- Maintain relationships with referring providers, schools, and community organizations.
- Create thought-leadership content such as blog posts, webinars, and social media content.
- Explore partnership opportunities that can broaden awareness of Clarity’s services.
Qualifications
The ideal candidate must hold an active RD or RDN credential, be licensed or certified to practice in California and/or Texas, and be enrolled in California or Texas Medicaid, or be willing to enroll. Candidates should also have at least 3 years of experience in clinical or community nutrition, ideally in pediatric or family-centered settings, plus experience with obesity, overweight, or metabolic health management.
You should be comfortable developing nutrition curricula, leading group sessions, using EMR systems and telehealth tools, and working with families from diverse backgrounds in a culturally responsive and non-stigmatizing way. A startup mindset and openness to iterating on care models are also important.
Nice-to-have experience
Extra value will be given to candidates licensed in additional states or willing to obtain more licenses with support from Clarity Pediatrics Medical Group. Spanish language ability is also preferred.
Working arrangement
This is a part-time remote role with flexible hours.
Compensation and operating hours
The pay rate is $55 per hour. Operating hours are Monday through Friday, Pacific time, from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM PT.
