Role overview

Comfortech is looking for a seasoned Regional Sales Manager to take end-to-end responsibility for the Golden Triangle territory. The region includes Auckland, North Taupo, Hamilton, the Bay of Plenty, and parts of Northland, with the bulk of sales generated from Auckland. This is a commercially important area with strong potential, established demand, and room to accelerate growth with real decision-making freedom and backing for execution.

Comfortech is a well-established supplier of commercial interior fit-out solutions, working closely with contractors, specifiers, and installers across New Zealand. With a healthy work pipeline and a defined commercial direction, the focus of this position is performance, expansion, and delivery.

What you will be doing

  • Direct, coach, and grow a team made up of 3 Account Managers and 3 Customer Service Representatives.
  • Own the region’s revenue, margin, and sales outcomes.
  • Develop and strengthen long-term partnerships with contractors, customers, and suppliers.
  • Stay closely involved in major projects from early discussions through to supply.
  • Work with specification and technical specialists to deliver complete solution-based outcomes.
  • Spot and pursue new commercial growth opportunities across the territory.

What the business is looking for

The ideal candidate will bring proven sales leadership experience, preferably gained in building materials, commercial construction, or interior fit-out. A strong grasp of the commercial construction environment is important; candidates with a residential background may also be considered if they have meaningful commercial exposure.

You should be comfortable leading people with different skill levels and personalities, and you’ll need a track record of improving sales, account performance, or regional results. Existing relationships across contractors, installers, or suppliers will be highly valued. This role must be based in Auckland.
