Position Overview
Chery South Africa seeks a Regional Sales Manager responsible for expanding our Dealer Network across Africa and attaining sales goals within designated districts. The ideal candidate must have experience overseeing dealership operations, accountability for meeting targets, and the capacity to manage dealership teams remotely. This role requires strategic planning abilities and excellent communication skills to surpass business objectives and enhance long-term company growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement regional sales plans and targets aligned with company goals.
- Provide operational support to the Dealer Network.
- Assess individual dealerships’ and personnel performance levels.
- Deliver comprehensive reports on regional sales outcomes.
- Forecast financial targets and budgets on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Facilitate professional growth and training for dealership staff.
- Prepare and evaluate the annual budget for the region.
- Analyze market trends and identify opportunities for expansion.
- Resolve operational challenges promptly and propose effective solutions.
- Contribute to strategic decisions regarding dealership expansions or new ventures.
- Recommend innovative products, services, and sales methods to boost customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications and Experience
- Between 2 to 5 years of demonstrated experience in regional sales management, area management, dealer development, or equivalent senior sales positions.
- Minimum educational requirement of Matriculation.
- A postgraduate qualification in business or related fields is preferred but not mandatory.
- Must hold a valid driver’s license.
Essential Skills
- Expertise in evaluating performance metrics such as ROI and KPIs.
- Proficiency with Customer Relationship Management (CRM) software.
- In-depth understanding of dealership operations.
- Leadership skills to inspire and manage a productive Dealer Network.
- Outstanding communication capabilities.
- Organizational competence paired with a proactive, problem-solving mindset.
- Willingness and availability to undertake travel when necessary.
Additional Information
The role is based remotely from the Head Office in Queensland, Australia. This permanent, full-time position entails managing sales activities focused on the African region. Candidates will be integral to driving business development and ensuring the company’s sustained success in the market.
