Role Overview

VSC Fire and Security, Inc. is looking for an experienced Regional Safety Manager to support its fire protection and life safety operations. The position is based in Dallas, Texas, and involves overseeing safety performance across multiple divisions and job sites.

What You Will Do

  • Develop and refresh divisional safety plans based on incident trends, root causes, OSHA activity, hiring needs, employee experience, and shifting project demands.
  • Visit divisions regularly, work with leadership, assess safety requirements, review historical losses, and deliver training support.
  • Carry out safety audits with office safety advocates, verify audit quality, and help strengthen their ability to improve safety outcomes.
  • Build detailed corrective action plans after audits, track implementation, and measure whether improvements are successful.
  • Work with divisional leaders to investigate losses, define corrective steps, carry out plans, and evaluate results.
  • Set divisional KPIs using safety data tied to frequency and severity, with the goal of lowering injuries and reinforcing a stronger safety culture.
  • Hold regular discussions with regional and division managers about incident outcomes, audit findings, and training requirements.
  • Serve as the company representative for OSHA citations, including investigation, negotiation, and coordination of corrective actions with division leadership.
  • Deliver safety training for new hires and teams on topics such as MEWPs, heavy equipment, confined space, lockout/tagout, OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and other required subjects.
  • Issue safety alerts to divisions based on incident analysis and audit findings, and confirm that field teams understand the guidance.
  • Partner with the claims manager on workers’ compensation and auto claims, including investigations, reporting, compliance, follow-up care, and communication with the third-party administrator.
  • Take part in the corporate weekly workers’ compensation meeting when requested by the Director of Safety.
  • Track individual performance measures such as jobsite visits, training sessions, incident frequency and severity, and usage of Procore and LMS systems.
  • Ensure OSHA Form 300A is posted for each division and support JHA development and updates.

What You Need

  • A minimum of 5 years working in construction safety.
  • OSHA 510 or OSHA 511 certification is required; OSHA 500 trainer status for OSHA 10 and 30 is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% to offices and job sites within the local market, neighboring states, and other markets as needed.
  • Strong spoken and written communication abilities.
  • Comfort managing time independently with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to inspire and motivate employees.
  • Excellent attention to detail and clear communication skills.
  • Interest in ongoing professional development and career growth.
  • Ability to pass multiple background checks.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record for possible company vehicle use.
