Role Overview

The company is hiring an experienced Regional Safety Manager for its Dallas, Texas location. This position is focused on strengthening safety performance across divisions through planning, training, audits, incident review, compliance support, and continuous improvement.

What You Will Do

  • Build and revise division safety plans based on incident trends, root causes, OSHA activity, hiring needs, employee experience, and evolving project demands.
  • Visit divisions, meet with leadership, review loss history, and deliver guidance and training tailored to local safety needs.
  • Carry out safety audits alongside office safety advocates, assess audit quality, and help improve their ability to positively influence safety outcomes.
  • After audits, prepare detailed improvement plans, support implementation, and track results to confirm effectiveness.
  • Partner with divisional leaders to investigate losses, define corrective actions, carry out the response plan, and measure the results.
  • Develop divisional KPIs using safety-related data, with an emphasis on lowering incident frequency and severity while strengthening the safety culture.
  • Hold regular discussions with regional and division managers about incident outcomes, audit findings, and training priorities.
  • Serve as the company representative for OSHA citations, including investigations, negotiations with OSHA, and action-plan development with division management input.
  • Deliver safety training for staff and new hires on topics such as mobile elevated work platforms, heavy equipment, confined space, lockout/tagout, OSHA 10, OSHA 30, and other required subjects.
  • Issue safety alerts based on incident trends and audit findings, and make sure field teams understand the related actions and expectations.
  • Work with the Claims Manager on workers’ compensation and auto claims, including investigations, reporting, compliance, follow-up care, and communication with the third-party administrator.
  • Take part in the corporate weekly workers’ compensation meeting when requested by the Director of Safety.
  • Track individual KPI measures such as jobsite visits, training sessions, incident frequency and severity, and use of Procore and LMS systems.
  • Ensure OSHA Form 300A is posted for each division and assist with job hazard analysis development and updates.

Requirements

  • At least 5 years of experience in construction safety.
  • OSHA 510 or OSHA 511 certification, or a higher level of qualification, is required.
  • OSHA 500 trainer certification for OSHA 10 and 30 is considered an advantage.
  • Willingness to travel up to 70% to offices and job sites within the local market, neighboring states, and other regions as needed.
  • Strong verbal and written communication abilities.
  • Capability to manage time effectively and work with limited supervision.
  • Skill in motivating employees and influencing safe work practices.
  • Excellent attention to detail and communication discipline.
  • Interest in ongoing professional development and career growth.
  • Ability to pass multiple background checks.
  • Reliable transportation and a valid state driver’s license with an acceptable driving record, with possible use of a company vehicle.
