Role Overview

The Regional Finance Manager for Asia Pacific will work closely with the Head of APAC Sales and regional leadership to strengthen financial planning, improve business performance, and support operational decisions across the region. Reporting to the Group CFO, this position is centered on FP&A, budgeting, forecasting, financial analysis, and strategic finance partnering. The role also includes support for financial reporting, internal controls, corporate governance, board coordination, company secretarial tasks, general administration, and operational support, along with liaison work with external providers for accounting, payroll, tax, and statutory compliance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Set annual and strategic financial goals that support the company’s growth and expansion plans across APAC.
  • Lead FP&A processes, including yearly budgeting, quarterly forecasting, and long-term strategic planning.
  • Work with commercial and cross-functional teams to build budgets, forecasts, and multi-year financial plans.
  • Prepare and present monthly and quarterly management reports with variance analysis versus budget, forecast, and prior-year results.
  • Review performance indicators such as customer profitability, product line results, sales efficiency, and market movements.
  • Serve as the main finance partner for Sales, Marketing, Business Development, Commercial Operations, Quality, and Regulatory Affairs.
  • Develop financial models and analyses to assess new business opportunities, pricing, contract terms, and investment decisions.
  • Evaluate business cases for new products, geographic expansion, and capital expenditure projects.
  • Oversee APAC accounting activities and broader financial management responsibilities.
  • Own monthly financial reporting and ensure statements are accurate and completed on time.
  • Coordinate internal and external audits and ensure tax filings are completed correctly and within local regulatory timelines.
  • Monitor operational back-end processes such as orders, collections, expense management, warehousing, and shipping.
  • Support board and governance matters, including meeting coordination, material preparation, record keeping, and action tracking.
  • Coordinate with external company secretarial, legal, tax, and compliance partners to maintain statutory and regulatory compliance.
  • Assist with statutory submissions, corporate records, business licenses, and other governance-related administrative work.
  • Handle general office administration and support smooth day-to-day operations in APAC.
  • Assist with local setup and coordination activities, including interaction with vendors and service providers where needed.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or another relevant field is required.
  • A CPA or Certified Tax Professional qualification is preferred.
  • At least 8 years of experience in financial management within trading organizations or multinational companies in the medical device sector, including a minimum of 3 years in commercial finance business partnering.
  • Strong knowledge of trading operations, ERP systems, order handling, payments, warehousing, and shipping; experience in startup environments is a strong advantage.
  • Sound understanding of international accounting standards and financial management systems, with hands-on experience in financial analysis, cash flow management, and risk control.
  • Excellent communication, stakeholder management, coordination, and problem-solving abilities across internal and external partners.
  • Strong command of written and spoken business English.
  • Practical, detail-focused, and comfortable working in a fast-moving environment with a strong sense of accountability and ownership.
