Job description
Role overview
This position is for a strategic, execution-oriented leader who will steer Fleets & Vehicles operations across several markets in the region. The role carries direct accountability for rolling out central fleet and vehicle initiatives regionally and ensuring they deliver measurable impact.
About the company
The business serves more than 200 million customers across 50+ countries and is one of the fastest-scaling technology companies operating in Europe and Africa. Its mission is to build cities for people rather than cars, and its progress depends on a diverse, inclusive workforce.
The organization is committed to an environment where people are welcome regardless of race, colour, religion, gender identity, sexual orientation, national origin, age, or disability.
Role purpose
You will be responsible for making sure that central programs across Vehicle Financing, Branding, Electrification, Key Account Management, Fleet Support, and Fleet Deals are implemented effectively throughout your region. A key part of the job is turning market-level insights into structured feedback for central teams so that future initiatives reflect real local conditions.
As the regional owner of Fleets & Vehicles KPIs, you will drive market performance against OKRs, clear operational blockers, and keep local and central stakeholders aligned on outcomes. This role suits someone who enjoys delivering results, improving execution, and holding teams accountable.
Key responsibilities
- Lead the full execution of regional Fleets & Vehicles operations programs, making sure each initiative reaches its intended targets.
- Convert global operating frameworks into practical market plans with clear ownership, milestones, and timelines.
- Continuously monitor delivery, identify obstacles early, and ensure corrective actions or pivots happen quickly.
- Translate central strategy into regional priorities that can be executed consistently and at scale across markets.
- Collect and synthesize input from country teams, highlighting risk areas, regulatory issues, and demand-side differences that should inform future program design.
- Take part in business review cadences such as MBRs and QBRs, including performance notes, root-cause analysis, and improvement plans.
- Communicate central changes, frameworks, and priorities to local Fleets & Vehicles operations leads.
- Own regional KPI and OKR performance, ensuring markets achieve agreed goals such as financed-vehicle GMV share, branding coverage and penetration, electrification mix, KAM coverage, fleet deal lock-in coverage, and program profitability.
- Track performance closely, diagnose underachievement, and drive corrective measures.
- Promote use of central dashboards, tools, and processes so execution remains consistent and fair across markets.
- Run regional coordination meetings, bring together escalations, and maintain visibility on performance.
- Lead prioritization discussions so effort and resources go toward the highest-return opportunities and stay aligned with central objectives.
- Handle prioritization disputes between GMs and central teams decisively while keeping delivery moving.
- Ensure regional execution respects global direction while still reflecting local realities such as regulation, payment preferences, and supply constraints.
- Build capability within local operations teams by rolling out playbooks, templates, and training materials.
- Encourage cross-market learning by sharing successful practices, lessons learned, and optimization ideas across the cluster.
- Support local managers in preparing business cases for new initiatives, ensuring they fit both regional and central goals.
Requirements
- At least 7 years of experience in operations, program management, or category ownership, ideally spanning multiple countries or a region.
- Proven track record of managing multi-country programs or initiatives that produced measurable business outcomes.
- Strong ability to connect central strategy with execution at regional and local levels.
- Solid analytical and commercial judgement, including experience with budgets, trade-offs, and return on investment.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with exposure to senior leadership discussions.
- Strong sense of ownership and initiative, plus the ability to bring order to unclear or complex situations.
Perks and benefits
- Opportunity to directly influence the future of mobility and help shape experiences for millions of customers and partners across 600+ cities in 50 countries.
- Work with highly capable teams in fast-moving, autonomous environments.
- Access to strong professional growth opportunities and career progression.
- Competitive pay together with stock options.
- Flexible working arrangement in a hybrid model.
- Wellness benefits that support physical and mental health.
- Some benefits may vary by location.
