CMOS is a New Zealand-owned commercial cleaning business with a strong growth story. Since its 2012 beginnings in Wellington, the company has expanded to 150+ cleaners, 650+ sites, and teams operating across Auckland, Wellington, and Sydney. It has also been recognised in the Deloitte Fast 50 in 2016. The business prides itself on doing things properly, caring about its people, and maintaining a close-knit culture.
This is a full-time, hands-on Recruitment Specialist position based in Wellington. The main focus is end-to-end hiring, while also contributing to sustainability and ESG initiatives as part of the role.
What you will do
- Manage recruitment from start to finish for frontline cleaning staff and office-based roles
- Find candidates, create talent pipelines, and keep the hiring process moving
- Screen applicants, run interviews, and coordinate progress through to the first day on the job
- Support hiring managers and other internal stakeholders throughout recruitment
- Respond to everyday HR questions and work with outside HR advisers when needed
- Assist with visa applications and renewals
- Maintain an accurate HR reporting system
- Help with compliance checks, policy registers, and audit-related reporting
- Contribute to sustainability tracking, ESG awareness activity, and reporting against company commitments
What we are looking for
- At least a couple of years of experience in recruitment, HR, people operations, or a coordination-style role
- Confidence working with hiring managers and internal teams
- Strong organisation and attention to detail
- Careful handling of confidential and sensitive information
- Ability to build trust with people at all levels
- Comfort managing several workstreams at once
- Interest in sustainability, ESG, or responsible business practices
What we offer
- A full-time role that combines recruitment with meaningful sustainability work
- A friendly Wellington team with a strong family-like culture
- Exposure to work across Wellington, Sydney, and other regions
- Competitive pay
- The chance to join a fast-growing company that has retained its culture
- Working holiday visa holders are welcome to apply
