About the Role
A nonprofit organization located in New York City is hiring a temporary-to-permanent Recruitment Coordinator to support their human resources operations. This position demands at least one year of recruiting or HR experience and involves working onsite from Monday through Friday, 9am to 5pm. The hourly wage is $24.
Key Responsibilities
- Evaluate resumes and create a shortlist of candidates aligned with the hiring criteria.
- Arrange interviews while coordinating schedules between candidates and hiring managers.
- Keep detailed tracking records of interviews and candidate status throughout the recruitment funnel.
- Draft and distribute job postings across appropriate channels and teams.
- Manage new hire documentation and ensure effective communication during the onboarding phase.
- Conduct reference verifications and document feedback to assist hiring decisions.
- Oversee employee referral programs and track incentive awards.
- Provide broad HR administrative assistance as needed.
Requirements
- A Bachelor’s degree is mandatory.
- At least one year of direct experience in recruiting or human resources.
- Strong analytical abilities, excellent communication, and exceptional organizational skills.
- Demonstrated professionalism in responding to customer or internal service requests.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite and HR database platforms.
- Ability to independently execute and refine operational workflows.
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism when handling sensitive data.
