Job description
Role overview
This is a 360 Recruitment Consultant position based in central Birmingham. You will join a warm desk with live client accounts already in place, supported by a delivery consultant on each assignment. The role focuses on permanent recruitment across product-led sectors, and offers a base salary of £30,000 to £35,000 plus uncapped commission, with on-target earnings of about £63,000.
What you will work on
You will manage a permanent recruitment desk spanning consumer electronics, medical devices, consumer healthcare, life sciences and micro-mobility. The role combines account management, business development and end-to-end recruitment delivery.
- Develop and expand the existing warm client relationships across the relevant sectors.
- Generate your own new business opportunities and convert early conversations into long-term retained partnerships.
- Handle briefs carefully, question weak requirements and fully qualify each vacancy before progressing.
- Own the complete 360 recruitment process, with delivery support for active roles.
- Strengthen your personal brand on LinkedIn and represent the company within the wider market community.
Experience and profile
The ideal candidate has a track record of bringing in new business and delivering results across a 360 desk. Experience in recruitment within technical, engineering or other professional markets is preferred. You should be comfortable managing client briefs, screening opportunities, coordinating candidates through to offer stage and keeping stakeholders aligned.
Success in this role also depends on being highly organised, process-oriented and a clear communicator. A curious mindset, openness to coaching, and a proactive approach to improving systems are all important.
Salary and benefits
- Base salary of £30,000 to £35,000, depending on experience.
- Uncapped commission with OTE around £63,000.
- Tiered commission structure reaching up to 40%.
- Quarterly and annual milestone bonuses.
- A warm desk supported by a dedicated delivery consultant.
- Hybrid working from the central Birmingham office, typically three to four days per week in the office.
- Flexitime, a 2pm finish on Fridays, and no fixed clock-watch culture.
- Access to an AI-enabled CRM, LinkedIn Recruiter and a complete data toolkit.
