Job description
Role overview
This is a permanent, full-time position based in the SEA23 office in Seattle, Washington. It is an on-site role, not virtual, and relocation assistance is not provided.
The Recruiting Coordinator is often the first point of contact for candidates applying to Amazon and is central to a high-volume interview scheduling process. The role acts as the communication bridge between candidates, recruiters, interviewers, and hiring teams, ensuring the hiring journey stays organized, timely, and positive.
Success in this position requires strong multitasking, case management, and coordination skills. You will manage interview schedules across multiple time zones, keep communication clear and consistent, handle last-minute changes, and make sure all participants have the information they need for each interview.
The position calls for a detail-oriented, process-driven professional who can prioritize effectively, adapt quickly, work well under pressure, and collaborate in a team-focused environment. Performance is tracked through scheduling accuracy, response turnaround, candidate satisfaction, and overall interview volume handled.
Key responsibilities
Plan and coordinate both virtual and in-person interviews, as well as debrief sessions.
Work directly with candidates, hiring managers, and business partners, and arrange candidate travel when out-of-city visits are needed.
Partner with recruiters to meet service-level expectations and support hiring demands.
Send follow-up messages to candidates about interview outcomes and next steps.
Look for ways to improve candidate experience, scheduling efficiency, and automation.
Support onboarding and training for new team members in the role.
Help with additional recruiting-related tasks as needed.
Day-to-day work
The workday starts by reviewing incoming scheduling requests and ranking them according to SLA urgency. Much of the day is spent coordinating across time zones, sending professional interview communications, adjusting for interviewers’ availability, and handling reschedules accurately and efficiently. The role uses internal and external tools to manage virtual interviews and prepare for on-site candidate visits.
