Job description

Role overview

Amazon is seeking a Recruiting Business Partner to support ambitious hiring goals for a customer-focused, fast-moving organization. In this position, you will help build talent pipelines, strengthen sourcing channels, and partner closely with hiring managers to move searches forward and meet deadlines. The role calls for a strong focus on talent attraction, measurement, and recruiting strategy.

What you will do

You will work alongside sourcers and recruiting coordinators on candidate search and placement, process improvement, and strategy execution. As the main recruiting contact for assigned groups, you will help shape a team culture centered on service quality, collaboration, and reliable delivery to internal stakeholders.

Success in this role

The ideal candidate can manage multiple searches at once, prioritize effectively, and close roles within tight timeframes. You should be comfortable using benchmarks and metrics, understanding customer SLAs, and operating in an environment that is both innovative and high pressure. Strong relationship-building with business leaders, hiring managers, and HR partners is essential, along with a clear sense of urgency and excellent candidate management skills.

Location

This position may be based in Seattle, Nashville, or Arlington. The role listed here is for Arlington, VA.

Basic qualifications

  • At least 1 year of progressive recruiting or research experience in a corporate setting or search firm.
  • A bachelor’s degree, or at least 2 years of full-time Amazon experience in place of the degree.
  • Hands-on experience using a contact management system or applicant tracking system to source, monitor, and manage candidates.

Preferred qualifications

  • Background in handling both high-volume hiring and specialized, hard-to-fill roles.
  • Experience taking part in or organizing technology hiring events, technology mixers, meetups, or user group sessions.

Equal opportunity and accommodations

Amazon is committed to fair hiring and does not discriminate based on protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected characteristics. If you need a reasonable workplace accommodation during the application, interview, or onboarding process, support is available through the company’s accommodation process.

Compensation and benefits

The base pay range for this role in Arlington, VA is USD 56,600 to 99,100 per year. Amazon notes that total compensation may also include sign-on payments and restricted stock units. Final pay is determined by experience, qualifications, and location.

Additional benefits include medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage; Basic Life and AD&D insurance; optional supplemental life plans; employee assistance support; mental health support; a medical advice line; flexible spending accounts; adoption and surrogacy reimbursement coverage; 401(k) matching; paid time off; and parental leave.
