Job description

About the Company

Reem Medical Center has been supporting the people of Doha since July 2019 with a broad range of medical and dental care. The clinic is situated in the Souq Waqif area, making it convenient for patients from different parts of the city. Its care model follows the Canadian Family Health Centers approach, with a focus on continuous, coordinated, and comprehensive treatment. All doctors and dentists on the team are QCHP-licensed and bring several years of professional experience.

Role Overview

This is a full-time, on-site Receptionist position in Doha, Qatar. The selected person will be the first person patients and visitors meet, creating a friendly and professional front-desk experience. The role includes welcoming guests, managing patient arrivals and departures, guiding them to the right clinic or provider, and ensuring the reception area runs smoothly.

Key Duties

  • Greet patients and visitors in a warm, professional manner and manage front-desk flow.
  • Handle patient check-in and check-out procedures accurately and efficiently.
  • Answer incoming calls, route them to the right person, and respond to routine questions.
  • Book, confirm, and update appointments in the scheduling system.
  • Support patients with general queries about services and procedures within approved guidelines.
  • Maintain up-to-date patient files, records, and appointment information.
  • Coordinate with medical and administrative staff to help patient movement stay organized.
  • Keep the reception area professional, welcoming, and aligned with privacy and confidentiality requirements.

Qualifications and Experience

The ideal candidate should have strong front-desk and administrative abilities, along with excellent communication and customer service skills. Good phone handling skills are important, especially for managing frequent calls and sharing accurate information. Experience in a healthcare or medical reception setting is preferred, and familiarity with medical terminology and clinic operations will be an advantage. The role also requires comfort using office applications and appointment or EMR systems, plus strong accuracy in data entry. A high school diploma or an equivalent qualification is required; further training in office or healthcare administration will be an added benefit. English fluency is necessary, and Arabic or other languages would be an advantage.

Additional Requirements

The role requires the ability to work full time on site in a busy, fast-moving clinic environment while handling multiple priorities. The receptionist must also respect and protect patient confidentiality at all times and follow clinic policies carefully.
