Role overview
Moorehall Lodge Ardee is hiring a full-time Receptionist / Administrator to manage the front desk and provide administrative support. The position reports to the Director of Nursing and follows day-to-day direction from the DON, ADON and CNM. The role is central to the smooth running of the office, reception area and general administration for the care home.

Front of house and reception duties
You will provide a warm, courteous and professional welcome to residents, relatives and visitors. The reception area must be managed in line with GDPR standards and kept clean and well organised at all times.
- Handle incoming telephone calls and in-person enquiries
- Direct emails, calls and other queries to the correct person and ensure messages are passed on promptly
- Keep front office processes and systems well maintained and efficient
- Coordinate with the DON/ADON/CNM regarding new admissions and complete the admission checklist to support a smooth move-in
- Help prepare and coordinate staff and family communications, including group text updates
- Maintain an accurate and orderly filing and document management system
- Support Finance, HR and staff-related administrative and secretarial queries
Essential requirements
- Leaving Certificate
- Post-Leaving Certificate education and/or training in secretarial studies, administration or a business-related area
- Strong communication skills
- Permission to work in Ireland
Desirable experience
- At least 1 year of relevant experience
- Prior work in a residential care setting or another healthcare environment
