Job description
Position Overview
The Receiving Executive will coordinate with multiple departments to ensure outgoing packages and mail reach the Shipping & Receiving area correctly. They will manage a precise tracking system for all shipping and receiving activities and ensure billing accuracy for outgoing shipments.
Key Responsibilities
- Receive, store, ship, and deliver packages and mail for various departments.
- Communicate any issues regarding lost or damaged packages to management.
- Maintain organized and thorough records, including reports and invoices, properly filed and stored.
- Unload and process deliveries; reconcile shipping invoices and receiving reports accordingly.
- Address vendor delivery challenges and oversee returns.
- Organize received pallets until items are unpacked, removed, or stored.
- Operate equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
- Prepare requisition forms for inventory and supplies.
- Support management in recruitment, training, scheduling, evaluating, counseling, disciplining, motivating, and coaching staff.
- Act as a role model and primary contact for the Guarantee of Fair Treatment/Open Door Policy.
- Ensure compliance with quality standards and expectations.
- Report accidents, injuries, and unsafe conditions; complete safety training and obtain required certifications.
- Follow company policies and procedures; maintain professional appearance and confidentiality.
- Anticipate and respond courteously to guest service needs; communicate professionally including telephone etiquette.
- Build and maintain positive working relationships within the organization.
- Perform manual tasks such as moving, lifting, carrying, pushing, and pulling objects weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Use fine motor skills and hand-eye coordination for handling various objects.
- Navigate through confined, elevated, or slippery spaces and surfaces.
- Complete other reasonable duties as assigned by supervisors.
Education and Experience Requirements
- High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.
- Minimum of 2 years related work experience.
- At least 1 year supervisory experience preferred.
- No specific license or certification required.
