Role overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented and seasoned Accountant to become part of the team in Dubai. This position is central to keeping financial records accurate, producing reports, and making sure accounting work aligns with applicable standards and regulations.
Core responsibilities
- Oversee the accounts receivable cycle, including billing, reconciliation of receivables, and tracking unpaid customer balances.
- Keep bookkeeping entries precise and reconcile accounts in the general ledger.
- Create monthly journal entries and adjustments, and contribute to month-end close tasks.
- Ensure that related-party ledger balances are regularly maintained and matched.
- Assist with VAT compliance and tax submissions, while handling financial data in ERP or accounting systems.
Education and experience
- A bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline is required.
- At least 2 years of accounting experience is needed, ideally with exposure to accounts receivable work.
- Hands-on experience with ERP accounting tools and Microsoft Excel is expected.
- Familiarity with UAE VAT and tax rules is an advantage.
- Strong analytical ability, communication skills, and organization are important for this role.
- Fluency in English is required.
