Job Overview
We are searching for a dedicated Reach Truck Driver to join our team full-time on a permanent basis at our Naas headquarters. Reporting to the Team Leader or Manager, this role demands consistently maintaining the highest hygiene, food safety, and occupational health and safety standards while achieving daily work targets and promptly highlighting any concerns. The successful candidate will be a key team player cooperating effectively to meet planned daily objectives.
Working Details
This position is full-time and permanent, located in Naas, County Kildare, Ireland. Work hours run Monday to Thursday from 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with Fridays varying through shift rotations to accommodate transport schedules. Salary offered depends on experience.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform daily reach truck inspections and report any faults immediately.
- Accurately assemble orders per customer specifications and report discrepancies to supervisors for resolution.
- Minimize equipment downtime to ensure consistent operations.
- Complete all record-keeping and check sheets clearly and thoroughly.
- Efficiently manage stock by positioning items correctly for storage or collection.
- Promptly communicate any issues to prevent recurrence and assist future troubleshooting, maintaining clear and detailed communication.
- Consistently recycle materials by allocating waste to appropriate places.
- Verify packaging meets customer specifications and orders are prepared suitably for shipping.
- Maintain open, detailed communication daily with the team, team leader, and management, taking responsibility for assigned work areas and products.
- Uphold good housekeeping standards at all times.
- Strictly follow food safety policies, standard operating procedures, and good manufacturing practices to ensure product excellence.
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and report concerns immediately to managers or the Health & Safety Manager.
Required Skills and Qualifications
- Valid license for operating a reach truck.
- Minimum of two years’ reach truck driving experience in a fast-paced setting.
- Experienced in maneuvering within racking systems up to 10 meters high.
- Demonstrated teamwork capabilities and people management skills.
- Highly motivated, enthusiastic, and level-headed with logical thinking abilities.
- Eager to learn and adapt to job-related information and instructions.
- Ability to follow directions and independently exercise initiative.
- Excellent communication skills with peers and supervisors.
- Positive 'can do' attitude with strong attention to detail for quality and output.
- Committed to health and safety practices.
- Flexible to meet business needs and show responsibility by taking ownership of work.
