About the role
This is a full-time Storeperson position at the Marley site in Manurewa. The role supports inbound goods and dispatch activity and helps keep daily site operations running smoothly. It is a practical, hands-on position that plays an important part in maintaining safe, efficient workflows so everyone gets home safely each day.
The role would suit someone who takes pride in their work, has warehouse experience operating a forklift, and enjoys contributing to continuous improvement while consistently producing quality results.
Work is on rotating shifts from Monday to Friday, with morning hours of 7:00am to 3:00pm and afternoon hours of 3:00pm to 11:00pm. A uniform is supplied, and overtime may be available.
New starters receive practical training and the chance to build skills, grow within the role, and develop a long-term career with the business.
Key duties
The successful person will be responsible for supporting warehouse and yard operations, with a strong emphasis on accuracy, safety, and teamwork.
- Oversee inbound goods, checking deliveries carefully and ensuring MPI compliance.
- Support a strong health and safety culture by keeping work areas tidy, safe, and stock stored correctly.
- Maintain effective picking performance and assist with replenishment, inventory accuracy, and daily stock counts.
- Keep warehouse and yard housekeeping standards high.
- Process customer orders quickly and accurately.
- Identify health and safety risks and hazards and work with relevant parties to maintain a safe workplace.
- Manage stock storage and safekeeping, handle materials, and supply goods to production lines.
- Assist with general warehouse and yard work as needed.
- Carry out ad hoc warehouse tasks to support site operations.
What we are looking for
We are seeking a dependable, detail-focused warehouse professional who is comfortable working to daily deadlines and contributing to a high-performing team.
- 2 to 5 years of experience in a Storeperson or similar warehousing role; RF scanning experience is an advantage.
- Background in warehouse, distribution, production, or manufacturing environments.
- Physically fit and able to work to deadlines.
- Strong commitment to workplace health and safety.
- Excellent attention to detail, especially for inventory and customer orders.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well with others.
- Flexible, proactive, reliable, punctual, and eager to learn, with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.
- Current forklift licence is essential.
