Job description
Role overview
Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is recruiting Radiographers, including both qualified and newly qualified candidates, for a permanent post with a choice of working patterns. The role sits within the X-Ray service and involves delivering imaging across several hospital sites.
About the team
You will join a busy, energetic, and supportive imaging team working across A&E, inpatient, outpatient, theatre, and mobile imaging settings. The radiology service is described as progressive and forward-looking, with opportunities to help shape how the service develops.
The department aims to provide an excellent service while supporting the needs of individual staff members. The trust also highlights flexibility, career development, and a supportive environment for professional growth.
Key duties
The post holder will carry out a broad mix of imaging work in line with departmental technique protocols and contribute to the core objectives of the Medical Imaging Department. This includes performing examinations such as general radiography, fluoroscopy, theatre imaging, dental radiography, and mobile imaging.
You will also be expected to provide a high-quality service to referrers and the patients or clients they refer.
Working pattern and expectations
This is a seven-day service, so the role requires flexibility to work evenings, nights, and weekends. The trust is looking for candidates who can adapt to service needs and work comfortably both on their own and as part of a team.
Development and values
The organisation supports role expansion, career progression, and continuing professional development. Staff are encouraged to work toward their personal professional goals within imaging modalities. The trust also refers to its DBTH Way values, which build on the organisation’s commitment to We Care.
