Role overview
Coxons Group Australia is looking for a driven Radiator Repairer or Workshop Assistant to join the team in Paget, Mackay. The role suits someone with experience handling radiators and cooling system parts, or with a background in mining or heavy industry work.
Working hours
This is a 38-hour work week. The standard roster runs Monday to Thursday from 6:00am to 2:30pm, and Friday from 6:00am to 12:30pm.
Key duties
- Help trade-qualified staff with workshop tasks and component repairs.
- Dismantle, clean, test, and flush radiators and oil coolers.
- Carry out overhaul work on nosecone modules.
- Rebuild parts and sub-assemblies as required.
- Put together radiators, cooling components, and framework.
- Take photos of work completed and fill out job paperwork accurately.
- Complete basic quality checks at the start of the process.
About you
You are likely to succeed in this role if you bring practical experience with radiators and cooling systems, or if you have relevant exposure to mining or heavy industry environments. A hands-on approach, strong awareness of safety, and the ability to work from instructions and standard procedures are important. You should also be organised, dependable, punctual, and comfortable communicating clearly in writing and in person. Physical fitness is necessary, as the role involves manual work.
