Job description
About Entain
Entain is reshaping the worldwide racing, sports, and wagering landscape by delivering memorable customer experiences and challenging conventional limits. As part of a FTSE 50 group with nearly 30,000 people across more than 30 countries in Europe, the USA, Australia, and New Zealand, Entain ANZ supports well-known brands such as TAB, Trackside, and Ladbrokes. Customers sit at the centre of the business, and Finance plays a key role in enabling commercial decisions that support performance, long-term growth, and strong customer outcomes.
Role overview
Entain is looking for a Racing Trader to join its Trading team and assist with live racing pricing, market creation, market management, and the delivery of a high-speed racing offering for customers.
No prior trading experience is required, as full training will be provided. The ideal candidate will have a real enthusiasm for racing, a basic grasp of wagering, and confidence working with numbers. This role can open the door to trading pathways in Risk, Sport, and other data-led trading functions.
Weekend and night shifts are part of the roster, although the team aims to provide flexibility wherever practical.
A day in this role
- Track and control risk across all racing codes by spotting market changes, exposure levels, and possible trading risks to help deliver strong commercial results.
- Set and update odds across racing codes, including live race trading and delivering prompt, accurate updates for live channels.
- Review customer behaviour continuously, building activity profiles to better understand betting patterns, trends, and risk indicators.
- Assess and approve referred bets according to internal rules, policies, and risk controls.
- Process racing and sports results accurately and on time so customers receive a smooth experience.
- Handle customer questions and disputes quickly and professionally, aiming to resolve issues in line with service expectations.
What you bring
- Ability to juggle multiple tasks and priorities in a busy, fast-moving setting.
- Quick thinking and composure under pressure, particularly when decisions need to be made fast.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work through issues efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail to maintain accuracy in pricing, reporting, and customer-related work.
- Comfort working on your own while also contributing well in a team.
- Solid knowledge of sport and racing, along with a genuine interest in wagering.
- A track record of delivering strong customer service and handling customer needs professionally.
Life at Entain
At Entain, work is about more than a role — it is a place to learn, connect, and make a meaningful contribution. The company values individuality, celebrates teamwork, and encourages bold thinking in a supportive and ambitious environment. You will help shape the voice of some of the most recognised brands in Australia and New Zealand while developing your own skills.
Perks and benefits
- Hybrid and flexible ways of working to help balance personal and professional life.
- Recognition and rewards, including celebration of achievements and retailer discounts.
- Wellbeing support focused on health and happiness.
- Workday extras such as free breakfast, snacks, and an onsite barista.
- Office amenities and social experiences including a pool table, live sports, and social activities.
Eligibility
Because the role sits within the wagering industry, applicants must be at least 18 years old.
