Job description
Role overview
A well-established developer is looking for an accomplished Quantity Surveyor to become part of its Navan project team. The role will support the delivery of healthcare and commercial developments across North Dublin and Meath.
What you will do
You will be responsible for the commercial and contractual management of projects, with a focus on controlling costs, improving value, and keeping contract administration on track.
- Oversee the daily commercial and contract administration workload.
- Manage variations, change control, and the related registers.
- Source and negotiate subcontractor packages to secure the best commercial outcome.
- Support project budgets, cost plans, and commercial reporting.
- Check and certify subcontractor payments and final accounts.
- Prepare monthly Cost Value Reports (CVRs) and maintain cost forecasts.
- Protect cash flow through accurate valuations and timely submissions.
- Prepare and agree final accounts, including any contractual claims.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with clients, consultants, and the wider project team.
What the employer is looking for
The preferred candidate will hold a degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Economics, or an equivalent qualification recognised by RICS/SCSI. The role calls for 3 to 5 years of experience working as a QS in construction, along with strong commercial judgement and analytical ability.
Package
The salary offered is between €70,000 and €80,000. Additional benefits include a vehicle, fuel card, pension, and healthcare.
