Job description
About Egis
Egis is an international firm working across architecture, consulting, construction engineering, operations and maintenance. The company focuses on creating and running intelligent infrastructure and buildings that support climate action and long-term sustainable development.
With a workforce of 20,500 people across more than 100 countries, Egis delivers specialist solutions for complex client needs. Its work spans motorways, tramways, water and wastewater treatment, smart cities, and other major infrastructure areas.
In Ireland, Egis has been active since 1959 and is among the country’s largest multidisciplinary consultancy, engineering and operations businesses. Its Irish operations cover the full lifecycle of infrastructure, from early feasibility through design, construction supervision, delivery and operations. Current work includes operating the Dublin Tunnel and Jack Lynch Tunnel in Cork, managing 1,200 km of Ireland’s motorway network, and contributing to major transport and mobility projects.
The company employs more than 600 people in Ireland across 16 offices. In 2023, Egis acquired JB Barry & Partners, broadening its engineering capability and adding experience from projects such as the Ringsend Wastewater Treatment Plant and the N17/N18 Gort to Tuam PPP motorway scheme. The engineering arm now has nearly 200 staff across offices in Dublin, Castlebar, Cork and Limerick.

- Support the Project Manager with contract administration tasks across the project lifecycle.
- Track, assess, defend, challenge and resolve claims and compensation events together with the Project and Commercial Managers.

Required Experience and Knowledge
- At least 8 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor, ideally in rail or rail infrastructure.
- Practical experience with NEC 3 or NEC 4 contracts, with preference for Option C target cost arrangements.
