Quantitative Developer

About the Role

We are seeking a motivated and detail-focused Quantitative Developer to join a leading index rebalancing team based in Dubai. This role involves developing and enhancing our core trading engine along with building automated trade systems that support and advance our trading operations. The candidate will be expected to demonstrate a strong commitment to excellence and a deep understanding of the trading lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain, and refine the core engine used for trading activities.
• Create and implement systematic trade automation solutions to boost trading performance and efficiency.
• Collaborate closely with traders, researchers, and fellow developers to grasp requirements and deliver optimal solutions.
• Engage in code reviews to uphold high code quality and adherence to best engineering practices.
• Offer continuous support and troubleshooting for existing trading software and financial models.

Qualifications and Skills

• Possess a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, or a related technical field.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Python programming, with experience using data handling libraries such as pandas, polars, numpy, and duckdb.
• Strong foundation in quantitative finance principles and statistical analysis techniques.
• Understanding of financial markets and trading workflow.
• Experience in designing and deploying scalable and high-performance software systems.
• Exceptional analytical skills with a focus on problem-solving.
• High level of accuracy and attention to detail in work output.
• Proven ability to manage multiple responsibilities diligently and effectively.
• Capable of working collaboratively within a team environment.
• Excellent verbal and written communication abilities.
